Our Story
Morgan & Holmes, LLC
Est. May 1, 2019
Morgan & Holmes LLC was born from the vision of **20 Black and Brown men—most of whom met at Morgan State University—**who believed in the power of collective economics and long-term investment. Inspired by the West African tradition of the “sou-sou” (a rotating savings and credit association, or ROSCA), we sought to modernize that model with a twist: instead of rotating the payout to individuals, we would pool our resources to invest—together, strategically, and intentionally.
In May 2019, Morgan & Holmes officially launched—not just as an investment club, but as a movement rooted in trust, legacy, and shared purpose. Over the past six years, we've grown stronger, leaner, and more focused. From 20 founding members, we now operate with a core of 12 active members and one trusted advisory investor, covering five states: Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Georgia, and Texas.
We’ve executed multiple private investments, built a diversified stock portfolio, and are now expanding aggressively into real estate opportunities. Our model remains true to our roots: powered by community, driven by strategy, and grounded in a deep commitment to Black excellence and financial empowerment.
